From 1 October 2025, the European electricity market transitions to 15-minute settlement intervals, led by Nord Pool and Energinet. This change enhances market efficiency, better integrates renewables, and enables more accurate billing and grid balancing.
To support this shift, CUBS will offer full compatibility with 15-minute data from both Nord Pool and Energinet Data Services (EDS). CUBS already handles 15-minute usage for some metering points and will extend this support to pricing, billing, APIs, and interfaces.
CUBS' pricing engine will handle both new 15-minute and existing 60-minute price formats seamlessly, and the user interface and APIs will be updated to reflect the increased data resolution. No manual intervention is required for existing 60-minute setups unless clients wish to adopt 15-minute billing.
By supporting both usage and pricing in 15-minute resolution, CUBS enables its clients to stay ahead in a more granular and dynamic electricity market — while continuing to offer stable, automated billing operations.
